Beyonce Knowles is one of the most successful female stars of all time. 

A singer, actress and business woman, Beyonce is incredibly talented. 

Just as more recent examples, she was named Woman of the Year at the Billboard Awards 2009, was recently voted ‘The World’s Greatest Pop Star ‘ by UK audiences, has appeared on top magazine covers,  and is the most sought-after celebrity at awards ceremonies.

Beyonce Knowles fame has grown internationally in leaps and bounds since her early days as a pop singer with the all-black girl group, ‘Destiny’s Child’.

And lets be honest here…

Beyonce is loved by all hot blooded males for her beautiful ebony body, with its soft boobs and curvy ass, and because she oozes raw sexuality out of the screen and right into your lap!

Nevertheless, unlike many female celebrities, Beyonce Knowles is a clean living Christian girl. 

She may have the occasional topless album cover, but she likes to treat her body well. 

Mariah Carey admits to being drunk on stage, but Beyonce Knowles says that alcohol doesn’t really do it for her, so why bother?

Beyonce says she enjoys a glass of wine occasionally, but often falls asleep if she has too much alcohol:

“…when I am drunk, I am very quiet and I observe and I go to sleep. I don’t think I am much fun.”

Fair enough Beyonce.  We would much rather you were fun for us!

When challenged in the gossip press, Beyonce also insists she is not into taking drugs. she says that the only relaxer she needs is that occasional glass of wine.

This is the type of girl you would like to take home to meet your mom!

Well…as long as you don’t show her the picture on the left…

And although she has been named the richest star under thirty, with an estimated $80 million in the bank  and married to Hip Hop millionaire Jay Z, Beyonce still has most of her accumulated wealth.

She revealed recently that she has yet to spend any of her fortune on luxury items as they hold no interest to her.

(of course, this didn’t prevent her receiving that wedding ring worth an estimated 5 million dollars… but who is bothering about that…?).

Beyonce as a cultural influence:

Being such a famous black female, all that even Beyonce Knowles says is taken seriously.

And even her throw away remarks cause controversy.

After Barack Obama’s election as American President, Beyonce was reported as saying the results of the election ‘made her wish she were smarter’. 

Taken out of context by the media, her remark was seen as a way to empower black women and a huge debate about the merits of girl’s education emerged.

This celebrity ebony has enormous influence!

Beyonce’s commitment to being a role model for girls is also well-known.

She claimed that the lyrics of her hit song “Single Ladies”, were meant to act as an aid to empowering both men and women to believe in themselves.

Beyonce Business Woman:

Not limiting her success to the music industry, appearing in movies and on the front covers of top magazines, Beyonce Knowles has her own perfume range, ‘Heat’, which hits the shelves in February 2010.

The ebony singer says she played a key role in its formation, from the bottle design to the name and the ideas for the commercials.  When Beyonce Knowles commits, she commits in full!

But with all the publicity comes constant media attention of a different kind.

Beyonce And Controversy:

Critics recently pointed out the inconsistencies between her empowerment claims and Beyonce’s hour long performance at the 2010 New Year’s Eve at a party thrown by terror-backing Libyan dictator Moammar Khadafy’s son, Hannibal, who has a long record of violence against women.  But she appears to have sailed through the controversy again.
